This is the ‘new wave’ sod. The most common variety is Empire Zoysia. All modern style and green/eco friendly homes are using this sod. Amazing drought resistance. About the same with bugs and fungal. We also like it because it can be mowed lower than St. Augustine. This is not the preferred grass for shade; however, if you must, then use ‘Jamar’ variety.
